YSJF in words
Here’s what two visiting journalists said about YSJF 2014:
“With its musical and organizational excellence â plus good vibes from the beauty, antiquity and walkable compactness of the Medieval town of Ystad â this event has reached the exalted ranks achieved by other older, similarly intimate yet worldly jazz festivals.”
â Joe Woodard, Down Beat
âJazz Journal readers will be aware of my enthusiasm for the Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival, initiated in 2010 by Jan Lundgren and directed and delivered by him in collaboration with the festival’s president, the indefatigable Thomas Lantz – to say nothing of the many volunteers (120 this year) who do so much to help make the festival an especially friendly and enjoyable experience for the visitor.”
